As far as we know, onion is not a fruit but a vegetable plant which we use in our daily cooking. Although, there are people who do not like to include this ingredient in their meals because of the way it smells and tastes.
Nonetheless, there are many others who would go all the way to have so many of it sliced into their meals. Onion can be used to cook varieties of meals because it adds a unique taste to the food. It can also be eaten raw by peeling off the back.

1. One of the reasons why we should always eat onion often is because of the fact that, it contains high amount of flavonoid antioxidant called quercetin.
This is very important in human body or diet because, eating onions help to reduce the risk of so many diseases like heart problem, high cholesterol level etc.
However, because of its antioxidant property, onion is a very good anti inflammatory agent which helps to deal with pain around the body.
2. The second reason is this: We are already aware of the dreaded disease known as cancer which does not really have a permanent cure.
We also do not really know the cause of so many cancers which many people suffer from today, hence the need to do certain things to prevent them.
